Astrid is a podcast network on a mission to address gender disparity within podcasting by producing diverse, intellectual and culturally relevant podcasts that entertain our audience and make them feel heard.
Astrid is committed to producing relatable, entertaining and cultivating conversations that represent and recognise the interests of women.
We work with both brands and talent and our productions include Closet Confessions, He Said, She Said, The Listen, Stompcast, So, How Do You… and The Body Coach podcast.
About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Podcast Producer to oversee the end-to-end production process of various podcasts, managing elements across pre-production through to post-production.
This role requires technical expertise in audio production as well as excellent organisational skills, and experience with multi-platform distribution.
Our ideal candidate has worked in the podcast industry before for at least 2 years and has experience in producing content for our desired audience.
Key Responsibilities:
Guest Management: Research, suggest, and coordinate guest bookings for various podcasts.
Script & Narrative Development: Write narrative scripts, guest bios, and ad scripts.
Production Oversight: Manage recording sessions (both remote and on-location) to capture audio while supporting hosts and guests.
Editing & Post-Production: Edit audio, provide producer notes, and oversee video review for amends and social media clips.
Episode Distribution: Schedule episodes and distribute across platforms including YouTube.
External Communication: Direct liaison with clients and partners, providing updates, answering queries, and attending meetings.
Metrics & Reporting: Track and report weekly/monthly performance metrics.
Strategic Input: Contribute to podcast strategy, creative ideation and development.

We are looking for an experienced and creative Video Producer to lead on shooting and editing podcast video content within Astrid’s small, fast-paced and mission-driven team.
The ideal candidate will actively engage with podcasts and they love spotting the latest cultural, online trends to incorporate them into their work.
They will thrive in generating promotional content ideas that engage modern women and can execute them with finesse. (They of course also get a big kick out of when their work performs well!)
KEY RESPONSIBILITES:
This role requires you to:
Have technical videography skills and problem solving. You’recomfortable with multicam set ups and understand how to use lighting to create different filming looks.
Be a mid-weight video editor. You’re capable of editing long and short form content as well as creating engaging animations that suit branding. You’re required to have experience with the Adobe Creative Suite (namely Adobe Premier Pro and After Effects).
Have an understanding of design skills. You have the ability to create visual assets and can adapt attractive editing styles to suit the podcasts branding and tone of voice whilst still adding a unique, creative flare. Photoshop knowledge is required.
Be a trend-led creative. You have the ability to create social-first content that’s fit for the audience and can tailor content for each platform. You keep up with social trends to ensure each podcast maintains relevance with their audience.
Be a big picture thinker. You can provide creative ideas within each podcast. You can step back and look at the wider picture of social within marketing and the overall objectives for each podcast.
Take a data-driven approach. You will use insights to drive forward content performance, understand what's not working vs what is, and take action accordingly.
Work collaboratively with every team member. From project management to producers to social managers.
Understand and align with the company mission. You understand why the mission of the company is inherent to our success.
The person we are looking for:
Has a strong initiative and is a competent problem solver.
Has an extremely strong eye for detail and understands design principles.
A morally and culturally sound individual with a strong team-work ethic.
An excellent verbal and written communicator.
Willing to get stuck in with a positive, upbeat attitude, supporting their other team members.
Able to work with autonomy in a small, dynamic start-up. You must be happy to work alone as well within a team.
